The Project

Northminster is the upcoming game for BritSov’s UK. It’s by far the biggest project the team has undertaken since the community first opened and we’ve got a whole bunch of new features and mechanics planned to enhance your experience!

One of they key ideas for our design of Northminster has been that we want to enhance roleplay by making purpose-built systems that make common scenarios part of the game loop. We’re working towards a more in-depth crime system and a feature-rich medical system. We’ll also be making sure key systems for the police and fire services are taking a step up in both user-experience and functionality.

Our map is already looking great, and it has really captured the ambience of a London town with surrounding suburbs. The building team have captured amazing detail while making sure their creations are more performant than ever, meaning that you get an immersive environment that is less heavy on your hardware.

The vehicles for Northminster really are top notch. Our vehicle team have spent time creating realistic, high-quality models that look truly stunning. We already have a massively varied catalog of vehicles across all public and private services, and of course for civilians. You’ll be able to get a cheap runaround or splash out on something that feels like real luxury.

We want our UI and UX to promote a dynamic and fluid experience for everyone, so we’ve made sure all the main features are integrated with a core set of interfaces that let you interact consistently with the variety of features the game offers.

Overall, Northminster is a project with a massive scope, and is the most complex game the UK will have ever seen. It does take time, but we reckon it’ll be worth the wait. There have been setbacks and struggles, but we’ve got this far, and we’re getting ever closer to the game being ready.

To answer the big question, we don’t have a release timeframe ready for you just yet – however, watch this space, as progress is accelerating and we expect to have some exciting updates and announcements about how we’re getting on soon. Right now we’re powering towards a pre-release version that we can put through rigorous testing, preparing us for the eventual release.
